Ladder Side Rail Roll Forming Machine 100-300mm
Ladder side rail roll forming machine 100-300mm makes the side rails of cable ladder trays from 1.0-2.5 mm galvanized or cold-rolled steel at 10-30 m/min. With a 16-pass mill on a φ80 mm shaft, opposed-roller forming, integrated chase punching and chase cutting, and full PLC control, it pairs with our rung line to form a complete cable ladder tray production cell.
Ladder side rail roll forming machine 100-300mm is a dedicated PLC-controlled line for producing the side rails (beams) that frame a cable ladder tray. It rolls rails from 100 to 300 mm wide out of 1.0–2.5 mm galvanized or cold-rolled steel, at a fast 10–30 m/min, using 16 forming passes on a φ80 mm through-shaft mill, integrated chase punching + chase cutting, and side-stiffening-rib rolling. Paired with our rung machine, it completes a full cable ladder tray production cell — rails on one line, rungs on the other.
The Other Half of a Cable Ladder Line
A cable ladder tray is two parts: the rungs (cross bars) and the side rails (the two beams that the rungs bridge). Our 40×20 rung line takes care of the first half — this machine takes care of the second. The side rail carries the structural load, so it needs to be precise, straight, and stiff. This line is built specifically for that: a 16-pass mill on a φ80 mm sprocket-driven through-shaft, opposed-roller forming, side-stiffening ribs, and HRC58-62 forged rollers that hold profile geometry under 2.5 mm gauge.
Profile produced: rail width 100 – 300 mm · thickness 1.0 – 2.5 mm · angle 90° ± 2° · length/width tolerance ±1 mm
Built Around Three Production Strengths
1. Chase Punching + Chase Cutting (Inline, Non-Stop) The “chase” configuration means the strip never stops — punching and cutting heads follow (chase) the moving strip, so the line keeps running at full speed. That’s how it sustains 10–30 m/min with finished, punched, cut-to-length rails coming off the end.
2. PLC + Remote Operator Panel Full PLC control with touchscreen HMI; manual/auto switchover; digital part-length setting; real-time status, parameter and fault monitoring; full-line emergency-stop; and a remote operator panel for floor-side control.
3. Structural-Grade Output φ80 mm main shaft, 45# steel hardened-tooth sprockets, forged HRC58-62 rollers, opposed-roller forming on the rear section and rolled-in side stiffening ribs — designed so a 100–300 mm rail keeps its shape even at heavy gauge.
Process Flow
Powered decoiling → 5-roller leveling → 16-pass roll forming → chase punching → chase cutting → run outt
A short, in-line sequence — feeding, leveling, forming, chase punching and chase cutting all run continuously without stopping the strip.

Module Breakdown
PLC Control & Safety
The line is controlled by PLC + touchscreen HMI. Operators set rail length digitally, switch between manual (per-station, for maintenance) and automatic (sequential full-line start), and watch live running status / parameters / faults. A remote operator panel handles floor-side operation, and a line-wide e-stop network protects equipment and staff.
Key Brands & Components
Brands listed are for main equipment; auxiliary parts may vary by production batch.
Pair It With the Rung Line
Run this side rail line alongside the 40×20 rung line to produce a complete cable ladder tray cell:
Together they cover the full ladder geometry — rails plus rungs — for power plants, petrochemical, oil & gas, mining, tunnels, metro and rail, and heavy industrial cable routing.
Quick Answers
What does this machine produce?
The side rails (beams) of cable ladder trays — 100 to 300 mm wide, in 1.0 to 2.5 mm steel.
What does “chase punching + chase cutting” actually mean?
The punching and cutting heads move with the strip while it’s running, so the line never has to stop. That’s how it stays at 10–30 m/min with finished, punched and cut-to-length rails.
Can it match a rung line?
Yes. It’s the natural pair to our 40×20 ladder rung machine — together they form a complete cable ladder tray production cell.
What gauges and steels can it handle?
1.0–2.5 mm galvanized steel or cold-rolled steel.
What’s the footprint and power?
A compact 20 × 2 × 1.5 m line on 380V / 50Hz / 3-phase.
Warranty?
12 months from acceptance, 2-hour technical response, long-term spare-parts supply after the warranty.
